Bulk Cooking

I've seen this referred to as Once-A-Month cooking, and done in variations of time from one week to 6 months. There are even stores now nation-wide that will sell you pre-packaged "home made" meals, or allow you to come in and use their kitchens to cook your own bulk meals.
There is no doubt that you will save money with bulk cooking. I've done it off and on for almost 20 years. I've done it alone and I've had friends do it with me. By far, this is more fun with a friend. One friend's husband offered to clean up whenever she did this which helped make the chore more appealing. I started doing it when my husband was going to be gone on 24 hour shifts, but eventually moved it to a time when he was home because he loved dabbling and tasting all of the different dishes.
You'll find some of my bulk cooking recipes on the site with more to come. I'm also hoping to start sharing what I've learned about adjusting recipes for bulk cooking and doing the most important planning steps. I will be adding some of my favorite monthly meal plans complete with step-by-step instructions.
