This is the best cold medicine ever. I try to keep the basic ingredients on-hand.

  • can of chicken and rice soup — or about 2 cups of chicken or vegetable bullion optional: add some instant rice — prepared and preferably boiling
  • 1 egg — whisked
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  1. Make sure your soup is good and hot. Whisk the raw egg with the lemon juice, then whisk it into the boiling hot soup. This will cook the egg and make little wispy bits of egg throughout the soup. You can add more lemon if you want.
  2. Let it cool until just a comfortable temperature and then sip.
